The strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street is dying. It’s turning a yellow brown, sun-scorched and ugly.
I don’t want to be that neighbor. I’ve been watering it when I’m home (I refuse to leave a sprinkler running when I’m not here) but it’s still brown. This leads me to believe that xeriscaping is my only hope.
One day it will look like this:
Drought-tolerant native plants, rocks, stuff that I can get away without watering for the most part. Rockscape and evergreens to look attractive in the winter, flowers and grasses for spring, summer, and autumn. That’s the program.
