sweet and salty

I made pecan cookies yesterday. They didn’t take long to whip up–they’re not complicated or involved–but they are delicious.

pecan cookiesThe recipe only makes a dozen cookies, which is popular by me because there’s only me to eat them. You can find the recipe here. The only change I advocate is sprinkling a little salt over the unbaked cookies in addition to the sugar. (And I left off sprinkling the cookies with sugar again after they baked because, really?)

Salty and sweet, nutty and buttery. Tea and cookies here I come.
